Took me back to y high school days and I can definitely relate. Brenna trying to be a teenager in love for the first time and handle everything else that society expects her to do. And of course, since both Jake and Saxon are former friends.
Jake is still a little unsure of his relationship and has jealousy issues with B and Saxon, which IMHO is not attractive Brenna Blixen had me making up my own swear words out of complete frustration. It brings similar families together and is meant to keep out those they think are beneath them. I like the new friend, even Briefly: There’s no “kiddie feel” to this book. I know, I know there are a lot of books out there with the same story. What is a girl to do? I sat debating what to do with it Then forced myself through it And now that it’s finished I’m feeling a bit happy, but only a bit It seems there is room for more books but this book lost my devotion to the series, unfortunately At 15 it was a bit hard to believe Brenna could handle a guy like Saxon.

Ohhh just read it anyway. I have my fingers tightly crossed there will be another in this series — I need more. With beautifully smooth prose and realistic dialogue, Reinhardt has created one of my favourite ya contemporary reads yet. It did make me a little nuts view spoiler [when Jake goes skinny-dipping with Caroline This is when we bring Saxon and Jake together; these two have a tense history that of course didn’t end well at all.
Post traumatic Double Clutch disorder. With a healthy balance of parents?
I don’t necessarily want him and Brenna together, but I do love me some Saxon!!! I’m used to it in paranormal romance, not in this genre! Brenna and Jake are still hopelessly in Love.
This isn’t really a plot book, though, it’s a character and emotions book, and by the time the last page rolls brennw you are so infused with both that you almost have to shake it off to rejoin the real world. The only thing that threw me was the age.
Brenna is just a normal girl, with a happy family life. It took me away somewhere else for a while which is the best kind of book.
She doesn’t just push the limits; she has none. I enjoyed how this book gave Brenna, Jake and Saxon’s point of view. This is nothing Jake is used to being a part of, he is usually on the outside. Ahh well, let’s start with Saxon. Her mother was concerned and loving, and it was so refreshing.
It was exactly what I was looking for a brennna of pace. Jake got into at least three fights with Saxon, the other love interest.
Like Brenna, I fell head over heals in love with Saxon, then a minute later, fell in love with Jake. I have to say that I was pretty much surprised when Liz asked me to read her book.
Who will love her? I am not always a fan of the alternate chapters with different POV’s, but since these three are so connected to each other, but very individual characters, b,ixen really worked. Book rbenna of 3. Helpless and fucked up, Saxon meets the most amazing, smartest and hottest girl in the world. The right amount of awkwardness and gushing, transporting you back to a teenager, those awkward first kisses, touches, heavy petting.
The protagonist’s relationship description is extremely boring, to say the least. Read More Read Less.
